Set up the pins on the triangular elevated rack. The bottom guide divot engages with the screw head on the rack area. Stand anywhere behind the foul line. Take the ball in your hand and cast it out and around so it returns to the front of the table and interacts with the rack of pins. Your body must remain behind the foul line when shooting. Scoring is kept just as you would when ten-pin bowling. Feel free to improvise using as many as three shots per frame. We play by the Rockville Rules. Scroll down this page to view that section.
1) The first shot in any frame:
After the ball is projected out and makes contact with the pins, promptly catch the ball - stopping it from returning to fell any pins. If the ball does return to pins, reset any pins that were knocked down. If no strike is scored, continue with the second shot in that frame.
2) The second shot in any frame:
When the ball first contacts the pins, that amount of pins knocked down is counted as the second shot. If the pins are all knocked down, this constitutes a spare. If that isn't the outcome, note the number of pins gained on initial contact ( this amount will be counted back onto a previous strike ).
But, instead of catching the ball as with the first shot, allow it to continue looping around until it stops. All the pins gained thereafter wouldn't constitute a spare, but would be added as pin count only. ( after pins )
If confused by this method, imagine that there are three small boxes in each frame on the score sheet. The first ball, the second ball, and then the after pins. The Swing Shot score sheet is designed to accommodate.

Each player antes up. Bowl one frame.. Best total wins.
Any pins knocked out of the park at any time costs one additional ante if the shot(s) outcome isn’t either a strike or spare. Catching any and all pins that are knocked out of the park nullifies that additional ante charge.
Tied players bowl another frame. Additional ante required by each remaining players.
