A skittle is a wooden pin - an integral part of of a game we now refer to as bowling. In Europe there were many designs and variants. For a historic overview, click the wiki link below:

When I was a young lad, my friend Brad Fisher owned a game by Aurora called Skittle Bowl. During sleepovers we would play it well into the night.
In 2015 I purchased a 1967 version of the game on eBay in great condition and in it's original box.
I had an idea to redesign it - engineering it larger and sturdier. My version of it is called Swing Shot. Unlike it's skittle bowl model, it's new re-scaled and rigid design includes hardwoods / veneered composite, a galvanized pole and heavy duty chain. I also designed a unique pin as a perfect compliment that resembles an Easter Island Moai statue. I also designed the critical Pivot assembly assuring smooth and true action.
